Snow White's Adventures Demolition

More? Of course there are more! Here's one of Snow White's Adventures, from right around the very day I was born:

Dang! Not a lot of respect for the original painted mural! Interesting to be able to see the Twain through the hole in the back.

Yeah, it kind of looks like all the original murals were just ripped out.

I just noticed the Mark Twain last night when I was looking at the photo--not something you expect to be able to see from the Castle Courtyard!

Nice how someone took a jagged saw to the mural! Even in 1982/3 didn't someone recognize the significance of those murals? I mean come one, I've even heard that someone has a chunk of the old parking lot!!!! Go figure :-)

Way to make a person feel old, Progressland! Just kidding, I was just a child when they were doing this demolition....okay, okay I was in high school.

It looks like the mural was almost a kind of wallpaper, but it was only paint, right? Maybe just layer upon layer of paint so it came off in a "sheet"?

Just found your blog. Great stuff! I must do a link to your "destruction" series.
