Holiday Season 1955

The photo is dated January 1956 and must be from the Park's first holiday season, which lasted from November 24, 1955 through January 8, 1956. (Don't get me started on Disneyland's nomenclature for the holiday periods through the years!)

I like the photo, looks turn of the century at first glance. Fun ad! I want one of those 8 fabulous rides ticket books! Check out the designation for the Junior books; "H.S. & J.H.S." did they ask for school ID? Thanks for the post!

Ah, the simple days when a wreath and a little garland here and there kept the masses happy. No bling necessary.

Aside from a peek at vintage horse keister, the most interesting thing is the corner building being billed as "PLAZA APTS". Which makes me wonder, what was originally in this building that it didn't need signage? I have a dim recollection from looking at park maps that this was a guest service building of some type. Lost Children? Nurse?
